More than 30% say RDR review will benefit no one

New research from Paaleads.com, Moneysupermarket.com’s lead generation business, shows that 31% of its financial advisers say the proposed retail distribution review (RDR) will benefit no one.

The RDR was launched in June 2006 by the Financial Services Authority (FSA) with an aim improving customer experience when buying a financial services product.

In the survey, a third (34%) stated they believed that regulators and the financial authorities will be the main beneficiaries of the RDR. Only 13% said consumers will derive the most benefit while just 3% said they thought advisers would come off best.

FSCS gives first insight on increasing levy to £394m

The Financial Services Compensation Scheme has indicated its levy for 2025/26 will rise to £394m from £265m this financial year as it cited having lower surpluses to carry forward and offset bills – a factor that has benefited brokers for two years in a row.
