Abba bought by RG Ford
Chelmsford-based RG Ford Insurance Brokers has completed the first of the five acquisitions it said it expected to make in 2010
The broker said the acquisition represented an additional £1m gross written premium (GWP) for the RG Ford Group, which has announced ambitions to grow the business to control over £15m GWP by 2013.
The completion of the deal will see fellow Chelmsford broker, Abba Insurance Services, relocate to RG Ford's head office. Abba was previously part of local IFA, Cavendish Financial Planning, which said it was looking to sell its insurance broking arm to concentrate on its core business.
