CNA unveils senior hires

CNA Insurance Company has announced the appointments of Paul Dowling and John Taylor to the newly-created roles of chief underwriting officer, commercial lines and chief underwriting officer, specialty lines, respectively.

Additionally, Paul Maidment has been named head of distribution and marketing. All will report to John Hennessy, CNA Europe’s CEO, and take up their positions with immediate effect.

Mr Dowling has 19 years of industry market experience, incorporating XL, AIG and Hartford Steam Boiler. He joined CNA Europe in 2009 to lead its renewable energy and construction practice. In his new role, he is responsible for CNA Europe’s renewable energy, technology, marine, property, casualty and group personal
