Federation of Small Businesses welcomes bank lending announcement
The Federation of Small Businesses (FSB) has welcomed the news that the banking sector has agreed to increase lending to small businesses.
However, the organisation has stressed that more needs to be done to change the structure of banking in the UK to promote growth, especially for small firms.
The FSB described the news that banks have agreed to lend £190bn – £76bn specifically for small firms – as a welcome step.
