Ecclesiastical exits standard household market
Ecclesiastical has announced it is to run off its standard household business by July 2012.
The insurer said that brokers had been informed this week and that specialist, added-value household business would be the future focus for its intermediary household account.
A spokeswoman for Ecclesiastical said: "With growth opportunities offered in non-standard markets, Ecclesiastical is well placed to continue growing its specialist schemes household account, most of which is currently written through EDI channels.
