Paymentshield's chairman leaves to take up CE role

Stuart Pender has resigned as chairman of Paymentshield to take up the role of chief executive of Lomond Capital.

Mr Pender joined Paymentshield in 2004 as chief executive and is said to have led significant change within the business resulting in ten-fold growth in the business between 2004 and 2009.

He became chairman in 2009 following the acquisition of Paymentshield by Towergate.

Mr Pender commented: "I have thoroughly enjoyed the last seven years at Paymentshield.

"I now want to progress new opportunities and the recent changes in the Towergate structure provide me with the opportunity to stand down
