Admiral's Engelhardt on Jack Straw and Confused.com
Henry Engelhardt, chief executive officer of Admiral, has welcomed Jack Straw’s intervention on referral fees but with certain crucial caveats.
In the second part of an interview with Insurance Age, Mr Engelhardt said he hoped Mr Straw had the intelligence to look at the entire referral fee system.
"We welcome what Jack Straw is doing [on referral fees] if he attacks the problem. If his goal is to bring down the cost of car insurance and he thinks getting rid of referral fees for car insurers will do that he is misreading the situation completely," he stated.
Mr Engelhardt warned that taking away a line of revenue for all car insurers
