LV wins case against personal injury fraudster
The High Court has found in favour of LV in a contempt of court case brought against a fraudulent personal injury claimant and her family.
Citywire has reported that Minaxi Shah claimed damages on the basis that a road traffic accident involving an LV customer in December 2005 left her severely disabled and unable to work.
Her false claim was valued at over £650,000, and was supported by evidence from members of her family.
Ms Shah, her husband Anil Shah and their daughter Neha Shah have all been sentenced to between three and six months imprisonment.
