Brokers split on SME business cover after riots
A survey by NIG has claimed that business confidence has fallen significantly among SMEs in the wake of the recent riots.
The research canvassed 95 SME insurance brokers in Croydon and Manchester - two riot-affected areas - along with Newcastle. It found that brokers in the three conurbations all recognised that business confidence among SMEs had fallen dramatically in the wake of the riots.
Both Croydon and Manchester saw 97% of brokers stating that business confidence had been impacted with 93% in Newcastle feeling the same.
