So they’ve finally done it. After years of flirting and batting eyelids, the British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) and the Institute of Insurance Brokers (IIB) have merged to create one trade body.
It’s been so long in coming that the market would be forgiven for sighing gently and moving on but this is in fact a very important development, a landmark even.
The IIB was created as a response to Biba’s supposed favouring of the larger brokers – so what’s changed?
