Bluefin uses Axa delegated authority for PI book
Bluefin is to open a new office in Glasgow to handle PI and SME business that Axa Commercial Direct cannot write.
The move involves the creation of two new Bluefin teams: one to service SME business and the other for professional indemnity (PI) clients.
The office will put the PI risks that fall outside of Axa Commercial Direct’s appetite through Axa Commercial via a delegated underwriting authority and the SME business will be placed into the open market.
The combined book of business is estimated to be worth around £4.5m in premiums.
Bluefin has two other Scottish offices in Bellshill and Edinburgh, both
