Jobs fears over Travelers restructure

Travelers Insurance has confirmed that it has undertaken a strategic review of its underwriting function and is currently consulting with UK-based underwriting and operations staff regarding its plans.

In a statement the provider said the review had been undertaken "in order to ensure the company is in the best position to provide the optimal customer and broker service and that it has the most efficient platform to achieve its growth objectives in the UK and Ireland."

The insurer confirmed that the review had recommended making a number of changes to the way it managed underwriting and that it should implement a new operating model. Travelers claimed that the new model was "based in part on
