Zurich is to shed nearly 350 jobs as part of a personal lines shake-up that will see it outsource its personal lines operations to a series of brokers.
The insurer announced that its Zurich-branded motor product would be delivered through Broker Direct who will administer the distribution of the product.
In addition, the direct part of the personal lines business will be transferred to Endsleigh and the Wessex Group respectively.
The moves will see the insurer make 342 people redundant: 163 in Whiteley, Hampshire; 113 in Cardiff; 39 in Glasgow; 14 in Farnborough; and 13 in Leeds.
A further 51 jobs will be lost in Zurich’s personal lines claims
