Aviva in redundancy talks with regional staff
Aviva is beginning talks with staff over the possibility of job losses, as it moves forward with its regional restructure.
Janice Deakin, intermediary and partnerships director at the insurer, said: “We will be making changes to our footprint, opening a new branch in Cambridge, and closing branches in Luton and Northampton. Those branches are not close enough to enough brokers today.
“These changes are very driven by what we think we need to do to service our brokers.”
The closure of the Northampton and Luton branches will affect 40 employees, and Ms Deakin conceded that the changes would have an impact on people
