Student event aims to attract talent to industry

Insurance offers a world of opportunities, attendees heard at the 2012 Student Event, sponsored by the Worshipful Company of Insurers (WCI) and Brokerage Citylink.

The event, held annually for three years now, was established to raise awareness of the insurance industry among London students, and has been supported by the WCI.

Reg Brown, trustee at Brokerage Citylink, commented: “Students don’t see the insurance industry as a top career choice.

“The whole idea of the Student Event is to give students the opportunity to talk to someone from the industry.”

Mr Brown said that around 170 people attended the event, held at the Insurance Hall, including over 120
