Mitsui Sumitomo employee grabs bronze in Olympic judo
Mitsui Sumitomo is celebrating after one of its employees won an Olympic medal at the London 2012 Games.
Yoshie Ueno was awarded a bronze medal in the women’s under-63kg judo competition on 31 July.
Ms Ueno works within the insurer’s marketing team in Tokyo. She is also a double world champion.
Andrew McKee, CEO of Mitsui Sumitomo at Lloyd’s said: “All of the company are truly delighted for Yoshie.
“Winning an Olympic bronze is a stunning performance and we could not be more proud of our inspirational colleague.”
