Liberty moves to strengthen northern broker relationships

Liberty Mutual Insurance (LMI) has appointed Richard Chapman as broker account manager for its Manchester office.

Mr Chapman takes up his role immediately and reports to Neil Findley, business development manager - north for LMI.

He brings 10 years' experience in the Manchester insurance market, working for a number of major insurers, to the role and will be responsible for managing new business development for LMI's Manchester branch.

Mr Chapman will also manage strategic broker relationships across the north west of England.

The provider is the commercial lines division of of Liberty Mutual Insurance

Industry reacts to discount rate change

Insurance industry specialists have welcomed the government moving the personal injury discount rate to 0.5% with PwC calculating it will lower motor premiums by £50 on average.
