Galbraith to leave Biba

Eric Galbraith

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has announced that chief executive Eric Galbraith will step down next year after nearly 10 years in charge.

Mr Galbraith was appointed chief executive in 2003 and has worked to improve the trade body's representation and lobbying in both Europe and with the UK government and regulators.

He was at the helm during the merger between Biba and the Institute of Insurance Brokers and instigated initiatives such as the strategic review and member campaigns on major broker issues such as the cost of regulation and signposting.
