Lockton's James to step down in New Year

Lockton International CEO Julian James will step down from his role in the New Year, chairman Mike Hammond has confirmed.

Mr James - who has served as CEO since April 2008 - will leave his position on 31 January 2013.

In the interim, Mr Hammond said he would focus on conducting "an orderly transition" of Mr James' responsibilities with other members of the leadership team.

Mr Hammond said: "On behalf of the Lockton family and all Lockton partners and associates, I would like to thank Julian for his leadership, support and friendship and we wish him well in the future.
