Biba defends claims research
The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has defended its handling of the research which claimed insurers had become stricter at paying claims.
The public dispute erupted as the both the Association of British Insurers (ABI) and Aviva disputed the findings.
The provider said it "disagreed with any suggestion that we are making it harder for customers to make or receive claims" while the ABI similarly stated that it did "not accept any suggestion that it is getting more difficult for genuine claimants to be paid and we have seen no evidence pointing to this".
