Social media 'wrong platform' for promoting chartered status
There needs to be more “shouting” about chartered status to make it worthwhile for brokers, according to Jon Newall, principal at Lockyer Insurance.
And at the moment, he does not think that social media is the right platform to promote chartered status.
“The message about chartered brokers isn’t getting to the man on the street,” explained Mr Newall.
“The only people who seem to recognise chartered status are the large corporates and other people in the industry.”
As such, the message is completely lost on the average social media user.
Mr Newall said it was down to the Chartered Insurance Institute to educate the public, and added that it
