Axa dedicated to gaining public trust through professionalism

Axa Commercial Lines and Personal Intermediary has made a commitment to promoting chartered status because it can help the industry regain the trust of consumers, according to the provider’s responses to the recent Insurance Age chartered status survey.

Alasdair Stewart, marketing and communications director at the insurer, expanded on this point: “We believe the public don’t have a good degree of confidence and trust in financial services and sometimes insurance is lumped in with banks.”

This view can be changed however, stated Mr Stewart, if businesses within the insurance market began to demonstrate a greater degree of professionalism.

He stressed: “That’s not just about being good at your job, but also demonstrating you are qualified to do
