Aviva fronts up to "middle man" in motor claim report
Proposals to remove the "middle man" from motor claims and slash premiums by some £60 could be introduced within a year.
Aviva has today launched its Road to Reform report ahead of the Ministry of Justice's Whiplash Consultation deadline on 8 March.
And the provider reported that if insurers handled claims directly, rather than lawyers or claims management companies, an estimated £1.5bn of excess cost could be stripped from UK motor insurance premiums.
The document claimed that the personal injury compensation culture costs motorists an extra £118 on their annual motor insurance premium.
