Simply Business CEO refutes Biba's online warning

The CEO of Simply Business has branded the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) "hopelessly out of touch".

It follows comments from Biba chief executive Eric Galbraith warning the insurance broking sector not to "get into a transactional business". 

Speaking at the recent Purple Partnership conference at Celtic Manor, Mr Galbraith cited an over-emphasis on price, as well as an increase in claims and fraud.

Broker optimism on the up in fleet

Direct Commercial’s latest broker barometer has found 56% of brokers experienced difficulties in securing coverage for smaller fleets in the last quarter, a slight improvement from 60% earlier in the year.
