Biba 2013: Sparkes to replace White as compliance chief

The British Insurance Brokers’ Association (Biba) has recruited Marsh's David Sparkes, to fill the position of head of compliance at the trade body.

As revealed by sister title Postonline, Mr Sparkes - currently senior technical advisor in the broker's compliance department - will step into the role after serving his notice period at Marsh.

The post at Biba became available as a consequence of Mr White being announced as Biba's new CEO in March.

Mr White said that Mr Sparkes was the industry body's first choice for the role.

"He will do a fantastic job," the Biba CEO said.
