Client view: chartered status is worth paying for
Using an insurance broker without chartered status would be out of the question for Lasercomb Dies Ltd, client of Brett & Randall.
Sue Parkinson, manager at Lasercomb, told Insurance Age: “We would never partner with a broker that didn’t have chartered status.
“Any advisor to the company has to have professional qualifications.”
Ms Parkinson said that qualifications were just as important in the insurance market as in accounting or law and pointed out: “You wouldn’t go to a solicitor who isn’t qualified, and you wouldn’t take advice on tax from an accountant who isn’t qualified.”
