Evolution in broker push with new sales co-ordinator

Evolution Underwriting has promoted Michelle Buckley-Clarke to the newly-created role of sales co-ordinator.

The commercial underwriting specialist revealed that Buckley-Clarke, who joined Evolution in 2010 as credit control manager, will support the sales effort with responsibility for a panel of brokers.

In addition she will be in charge of all sales related events and other promotions and will report directly to group chief executive, Paul Upton.

Industry reacts to discount rate change

Insurance industry specialists have welcomed the government moving the personal injury discount rate to 0.5% with PwC calculating it will lower motor premiums by £50 on average.
