Insurecom has been bought by US-based partner and fellow software company Applied Systems, Insurance Age can reveal.

The Brighton-based software company states that it provides its services to more than 500 UK brokers.

Insurance Age understands that acquisition talks began several months ago with market sources speculating that the value of the deal could be as low as £2m or up to £15m.
