Aqua looks to tackle young driver cover costs with family offering

Aqueduct Underwriting (Aqua) has unveiled its broker-only Family Portfolio offering in a bid to mitigate the high cost of young driver insurance.

The high net worth insurer cited that the product packages a family's motor and home insurances into a single portfolio to "maximise economies of scale and pricing efficiency". 

It will allow young drivers to build a record of claims-free driving in their own name and will entail having a telematics box fitted to the relevant car.

A compulsory half-day course with the Institute of Advanced Motoring will also be part of the package.
