Broker Expo 2013: Hiscox aims to quadruple schemes account by 2022

Provider eager to work on existing and new schemes.

Hiscox’s schemes division is aiming to control £200m in premium by 2022, it was today confirmed at Insurance Age's Broker Expo.

The 17-strong team, based in Colchester, currently overseas about £45m in premium.

Darren Power, national schemes sales executive at Hiscox, revealed the ambition to delegates.

He said: “We are increasingly looking at bigger schemes outside of our normal appetite.”

And while he stated that existing schemes are “probably the ideal for us”, if a broker comes to Hiscox
