Lord Hunt appointed Biba chairman

boardroom

Decision taken to appoint first ever non-broker as chairman.

The board of the British Insurance Brokers' Association (Biba) has chosen Lord David Hunt of Wirral, as its new chairman replacing Andy Homer who stepped down in November.

The trade body highlighted that the appointment was a landmark decision as it was the first time Biba had selected a person outside of a broking organisation as chairman.

The move also meant it was the first time Biba had selected an independent non-executive director (INED) for the role.

Lord Hunt is a member of the All Party
