Direct Group announces restructure and name change

Group to merge two divisions in bid to simplify structure.

Insurance services provider Direct Group (DG) has confirmed that it will merge two divisions in a bid to become a "far more sophisticated outsourced proposition".

The business said that Direct Validation Services (DVS) and DG Claims Management will merge to form DG Claims Services (DGCS).

This new division will be headed up by Russell Crewe, business unit director.

The firm's UK holding company will also change its name to Ryan Direct Group, following the business' buyout back in 2012 by parent
