Aviva's UK GI business sees GWP and operating profits fall
Personal and commercial lines COR both improve at provider.
Aviva's full year results for 2013 have shown that the UK personal lines combined operating ratio (COR) came in at 92.9% (2012: 94.3) while for commercial business it achieved 102.9% (2012: 104%).
The effect was an improvement in the overall COR to 97% from 98.3% in the previous 12 months.
The provider stated that market conditions in the UK for personal motor remain challenging.
In 2013 the personal motor COR improved slightly to 96% (2012: 97%) which Aviva said was a result of disciplined
