RSA will this week begin its £775m rights issue this week, it has been reported.
According to The Times, the insurer will release a fundraising prospectus in the next few days which will include key details such as the number of RSA shares to be swapped for new ones and their price.
Last month, RSA CEO Stephen Hester confirmed that the insurer had "reluctantly concluded" that it must ask shareholders, via a rights issue for a "substantial sum".
