RSA confirms £773m rights issue launch

Provider announces move in bid to "restore its capital position".

RSA has confirmed it has begun its £773m rights issue and will be launching the prospectus at midday.

It follows reports yesterday stating that the provider was  set to issue a fundraising prospectus which would include key details such as the number of RSA shares to be swapped for new ones and their price.

The deal, which is fully underwritten, consists of a 3 for 8 rights issue of 1.38bn ordinary shares at a price of 56p.
