Acquisitions off the table at Gallagher, says Deakin

Acquisitions are off the agenda at Arthur J Gallagher for the immediate future, according to Janice Deakin, UK commercial director at the broker.

Following the broker’s announcement that it had acquired Oval for a total of £199m, Deakin told Insurance Age that the deal had left her feeling “relief, delight, and a little bit of exhaustion”.

“This one is a fantastic deal to finish,” she said. “Everyone’s excited about it, on both sides.”
