Motor premiums tumble 16.6% in one year
AA calculates quarterly drop of 5.6% for comprehensive car insurance premiums.
The first quarter of 2014 has seen another fall in the cost of car insurance, according to the latest benchmark AA British Insurance Premium Index.
The quoted Shoparound premium - an average of the five cheapest premiums for each risk in a nationwide basket - for an annual comprehensive car insurance policy, dropped by 5.6% over the first quarter of 2014 to £531.24.
