I was disappointed by the standard of the arguments and rhetoric in the recently televised Scottish Independence debate. At the end of August, Alex Salmond and Alistair Darling went toe-to-toe for the second time on TV. I'm guessing they probably couldn't really care less about my opinion but I found it boorish, lacking in substance and felt that it pretty much descended into two blokes talking over each other. Clearly it is not just discourse in Westminster that is able to generate more heat
