Nine arrested over £450,000 household insurance claims

City of London Police has arrested four men and five women across England and Wales as part of an investigation into £450,000 worth of allegedly bogus household insurance claims.

The Insurance Fraud Enforcement Department (IFED) said the initiative spanned 10 local police forces areas and saw 60 officers look into claims which are believed to have been either repeated, exaggerated or completely made up.
