Brendan McManus in rumoured £199m Chaucer deal
Reports suggest that former Gallagher retail CEO has teamed up with Apollo to buy insurer’s £199m motor book.
According to media reports former Gallagher UK CEO of retail and Giles boss, Brendan McManus, is set to bid for Chaucer's £199m ($300m) motor book.
The Insurance Insider revealed that a deal was in the pipeline believed to be backed by private equity house Apollo.
Apollo has also been heavily tipped for a move to buy Towergate.
McManus left Gallagher in July last year and since then speculation has grown as to what his next move could be.
