LexisNexis no claims database aiming for 90% market coverage by year end

Technology firm says insurers and brokers loading data daily.

LexisNexis expects 80% of UK motor insurance providers to have put details of customer's no claims histories into its database by the end of the first quarter in 2015.

The company, which specialises in technology, analytics and data, said information is being loaded daily from new brokers and insurers into the No Claims Discount (NCD) module of its Policy History Motor database.

LexisNexis predicts market engagement will reach 90% by the end of this year and says the database currently contains

Broker optimism on the up in fleet

Direct Commercial’s latest broker barometer has found 56% of brokers experienced difficulties in securing coverage for smaller fleets in the last quarter, a slight improvement from 60% earlier in the year.
