Axa UK unveils £5m broker fund as it targets 95% COR

Insurer looking to grow mid-market share from 3% to 15% over five years.

Amanda Blanc, CEO of Axa commercial lines and personal intermediary, has confirmed the insurer is targeting a combined operating ratio (COR) of 95% within five years.

In its 2014 results the provider delivered a COR for UK and Ireland of 97.1%.

Blanc stated that the UK business has progressed significantly from its difficulties in 2011.

However she cautioned that Axa will not grow at the expense of profit or behave irresponsibly in the pursuit of its goals.
