Fraudster jailed after trying to con RSA
Maharouf Fahad given a 12-month sentence after staging a road traffic accident.
A fraudster who lied about the circumstances surrounding a road traffic accident has been jailed for 12 months following an investigation by RSA.
In 2009 Maharouf Fahad, from Acton in West London, alleged that an RSA customer crashed into him and claimed a total of £50,000 for damage to his vehicle and injuries to three passengers.
He began legal proceedings against RSA a year later and the case went to the High Court in 2012.
