AA Insurance: driverless cars will provide brokers with opportunities

Managing director Janet Connor says brokers best placed in terms of flexibility.

The age of the connected car provides opportunities for brokers to grasp according to Janet Connor who is the managing director of AA Insurance.

She said new car technology provides safety-related features that will help to reduce collisions and give car manufacturers data on car performance and driver behaviour.

Many brokers believe this will lead manufacturers to provide their own insurance for drivers of their cars with premiums reflecting behaviour, Connor added.
