Sixteen fraudsters sentenced for insurance scam
The crooks were imprisoned, received suspended jail terms or community sentences at Manchester Crown Court.
Sixteen fraudsters have received a combination of prison sentences, suspended jail terms and/or the requirement to do unpaid work for their part in a £225,000 scam.
It related to a firm known as ‘Optimum Car Hire' whereby fraudsters submitted false insurance claims associated with fictitious collisions and claims for hire charges for vehicles that were never actually hired.
