Liberty exits GB operations
Insurer consults on 250 redundancies but says changes will not impact on its Hughes business.
Liberty Insurance, which trades as Quinn-direct in Great Britain (GB), is to withdraw from the personal general insurance market in GB to focus on the Republic of Ireland (ROI).
The move could result in 250 voluntary redundancies in ROI and 20 in Northern Ireland and follows a strategic review of the business.
It is anticipated that the redundancies will take place over the next 18 months.
