Brightside Group posts £43.7m loss for 2014

Company sees 22% fall in revenue as group Ebitda halves and policy sales numbers tumble.

Brightside Group has revealed a post-tax loss of £43.7m for 2014, as opposed to a profit of £7.7m the year before.

The figures in a filing at Companies House, showed the firm was hit by £47.3m in reorganisation expenses.

Brightside was bought by private equity firm AnaCap Financial Partners for £127m in May 2014.

The fall came as gross profit tumbled 24% to £46.3m (2013: £61.3m) and Ebitda fell 51% to £9.1m (2013: £18.6m).

Revenue for 2014 decreased dramatically to £69.5m for the year, a 22%
