Third quarter profit flat at Gallagher

Consolidator sees 4.8% rise in revenue for three month period.

Arthur J Gallagher has posted profits after tax of $77.3m [£50.5m] for the third quarter of 2015, down marginally on the $78.8m in the same period of last year.

Revenue for the worldwide group in the three months ended 30 September increased by 5.1% to $835.5m [Q3 2014: $795.2m].

The effect took total profit for the year so far to $213.1m, up from the $199.9m in the first nine months of last year.

Revenue reached $2.47bn, again ahead of the $2.1bn total for the equivalent period of 2014.
