More driverless car accident data needed, says DLG
Both the insurer and manufacturer must play a role in determining who was at fault when an accident happens.
A Direct Line Group boss has called for the industry to have access to data of driverless cars or a special relationship with the manufacturers to determine where liability would fall when an accident occurs.
It is an issue which many brokers and insurers are facing as driverless cars increase in popularity.
Speaking at a panel session at the All Party Parliament Group on Insurance and Financial Services on 12 July, Dan Freedman, director of motor development at Direct Line Group told delegates
