LV pulls out of broker-distributed home insurance

Decision follows consultation process started last November.

LV has confirmed it will stop writing broker-sourced home insurance business.

It will cease new business and renewals on its ABC Home products with effect from 1 April 2017.

The move followed a consultation first announced by the provider last November.

A spokesperson for the insurer stated that a limited number of staff, all based in Croydon, were affected by the decision and stressed that all had been met with and that discussions were ongoing.
